FTP Servers Rules in ISA 2004 are read-only by default

Filed under: internet — Jason Hartley @ 11:13 am

Trying to upload or delete files on a FTP server located behind a ISA 2004 firewall results in “access denied” messages. This due to the fact that FTP rules are setup as “Read Only” by default.

To enable write/modify/delete permissions, right-click on the FTP rule, choose to configure FTP, uncheck the “Read Only” checkbox.

John Howard posted this information on his blog with screen shots in the post “FTP servers appear read-only in ISA Server 2004
