Buyer Beware: Circuit City “Liquidation Sale”
With a lot of Circuit City stores going out of business, people will likely be looking for ‘good deals.’ I ran across a blog post with a “Good Morning America” video segment on the tactics that Liquidation Companies use when running a stores going out of business (GOB) sale. Long story short, they most often raise the “original” price of the item back up the MSRP and then “discount” from it. This means most of the prices are higher when the GOB sale begins and they were when the store was going strong.
If your looking for deals from Circuit City stores for electronics and software, buyer beware. The prices may be higher than other stores and online retailers will likely still have the best deals.
