ZDnet blogger, Adrian Kingsley-Hughes wrote a post on the improved performance of Windows 7 build 7057 – compared to Windows XP, Vista, and previous builds of Win7 including the official Beta release. The performance result charts are here and here… the lower the number in the table, the better.Toward the end of his post Adrian says, ”I’ve no doubt that not only will Windows 7 will be fast. In fact it will blow away all previous Windows OSes, including the sainted Windows XP.”
